What is the legal limit VLT (Visible Light Transmission) in Texas?
25% on the front 2 windows, and as dark as you’d like on the back windows, and nothing blocking any VLT past the AS-1 line on the windshield.
How long does it take?
It depends on the vehicle. Coupes, and trucks take 2-2.5 hours. Sedans and SUV’s take 2.5-3.5 hours. The length on time may vary, as some vehicles are more difficult than others, and also, I WILL redo a window of there’s too much contamination, or damage to the film during install. Removal and re-tint adds a large amount of time to those timeframes.
What’s the difference between the film?
So, I have 3 different types of film. Regular dyed film. This film is more for looks as it only blocks out maybe 15% of the heat. It does however block out 99% of harmful UV rays protecting your skin, and vehicles interior. It’s also a lifetime warranty film. The ceramic film is a much better film, as it’s more durable to scratches (although it will still scratch), blocks out over 70% of the heat coming in, and still blocks out 99% of the harmful UV rays. The IR PLUS nano ceramic is the top dog. It blocks out 98% of heat coming in thanks to its IR (Infrared radiation/light) coating keeping those IR wavelengths at bay, and it’s nano ceramic particles absorbing that IR rather than letting it pass through. It also blocks 99% of UV rays.
